THE PESUKIM OF KOSHER LAND ANIMALS
Devarim: Perek 14, Pesukim 4-8. Green= KOSHER Red= TRAFE

The animals in Green are Kosher. In order for an animal to be Kosher, it must chew its cud and have split hooves. The animals in Red are trafe because they only have one, or don't have any, of the two traits required to be a Kosher animal.
We do not know what type of animals the וְיַחְמוּר וְאַקּוֹ וְדִישֹׁן וּתְאוֹ וָזָמֶר are, but some Mforshim translate them.

This is how an animal chews its cud
<-------

After a cow chews food,
it goes into one stomach,and
then it comes back up. Then
the cow chews it again and it
goes into a second stomach.

The Aruch HaShalem says that this might be a type of deer.
Rashi says that this is an ibex. However, Chullin says that this might be a wild goat.
Onkelos says that this is a type of antelope.
Rashi says that this is a wild ox.
Rav Saadyah and Radak say that this is a giraffe. Chullin says that this is a wild goat.
